Pottery on the Wheel #2[PM]

Discover the art of throwing pottery on the wheel! In this hands-on class, you'll learn essential techniques like centering, pulling, and finishing as you shape clay into cylinders and transform them into unique creations. You'll also explore underglaze decoration to add a personal touch to your pieces.

 

Typically each student will create 3-8 pieces during the session. If any pieces remain undecorated, students are welcome to return to the art room in August to complete them to their satisfaction.

 

All materials, tools, and firings are included in the class cost. Designed for students ages 9-14, this small-group class is limited to just five students, ensuring each child gets dedicated time on the wheel. Secure a spot while they’re still available!

 

Due to the drying time for clay, the pottery will be ready for pickup between 2-4 weeks after the class ends. Parents will receive an email when finished pieces are ready for pickup, and pieces are also allowed to be picked up once school starts again in August.
