Reminder: Notify your child's teacher that your child will be attending Community Education classes and will need to go to every class meeting.
 
 
Life after high school can be challenging, especially the skills you don't necessarily learn in school. In this workshop, we'll learn about filing taxes, applying for loans, basic understanding of credit/scores, basic car maintenance schedules, nutrition and preparing meals on your own, etc. We will also address professionalism in the workplace, filling out job applications & writing resumes, how to take and give feedback constructively, and problem solving.

This course is designed to help incoming freshman students prepare for and cope with the academic expectations of high school and beyond. Topics covered will include: Study skills and study strategies for test taking, note taking, researching, organization, technology, and time management, as well as advocacy, and problem solving.
